Best Adkins Meal Bar Yet! These are my favorites of the four or five Atkins Meal Bars I have tried- chewy, slightly sweet, and very filling. The coconut is plentiful and tasty. Some reviewers do not seem to understand that this is a meal replacement bar so, no, it’s not going to taste like a candy bar, although it could qualify as a particularly healthy-tasting one. Good meal bars that really work for Atkins/keto diets As “meal bars” go, these are pretty good. Reading the ingredients, I don’t see too much to worry about. I’m sure the taste would be better if they added some flour, honey, and/or sugar, but, of course, that would defeat the purpose of having a 250 cal. meal substitute with just 3g of net carbs.Besides the good-but-not-great taste, and the affordable-but-not-cheap price, the only other drawback of these is that they are particularly dense. Okay for keto-diet people I like packaged meal bars for the sake of convenience, but until recently wasn’t reading the labels closely enough for the hidden carbs e.g. in maltitol or other sugar alcohols in “low-sugar” bars. At least you know what you’re getting with Atkins bars, and they don’t taste terrible.
